Change to Social Welfare Appeals deadline

From 28 April 2025, the time limit to appeal a social welfare decision increased.

If the date on the decision letter from the Department of Social Protection (DSP) is 28 April 2025 or later, you now have 60 days to submit your appeal instead of 21 days.

If the date on the decision letter is before 28 April 2025, you have 21 days from the date on the decision letter to submit your appeal.
