Local and European elections 7 June 2024

If you are from another EU state and living in Ireland, you are eligible to vote in the European election for candidates running in the Irish constituency you live in.

To take part, you must be registered to vote in Ireland for a European election. Visit checktheregister.ie to find out if you are registered to vote.

If you are not registered to vote in Ireland you need to complete an EP1 form, available online or from your city or county council. You must be registered to vote in Ireland by Monday, 20 May 2024 to vote in the upcoming European elections.

The information in your completed EP1 form is sent to your home state to prevent double voting in European elections. If you vote twice in a European election, you are guilty of an offence.
