Accessibility and Usability Statement

One of the major goals of citizensinformation.ie is to provide information online which is accessible to all.

This site complies with the WAI (Web Accessibility Initiative) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, as developed by the World Wide Web Consortium.

Irish speakers

All information on the Citizens Information site is available through Irish. More information is available on the help page.

Visually impaired users

All information on this site is easily accessible using screen-readers. The colour and size of text, line-spacing size and background colour are all changeable by changing your display preferences. 

Browsealoud

Browsealoud is a computer program that can read website content aloud. If you install Browsealoud on your computer, you can have the web pages on www.citizensinformation.ie read back to you. To avail of this service, the Browsealoud plugin is available for download free of charge from www.browsealoud.com. You can also take a video tour which will show you how to use Browsealoud, how to access the options and how to change the way Browsealoud reads content.

This site is accessible using any browser.
