Close contacts and contact tracing
If you are a close contact of a person who has tested positive for COVID-19, you should watch out for symptoms of COVID-19.
If you develop symptoms, self-isolate.
What happens if I am a close contact?
If you are a close contact with symptoms
Your GP will tell you if you need to get a COVID-19 test. Most people no longer need to test for COVID-19.
If you are a close contact with no symptoms
You do not need to self-isolate or take a COVID-19 test if you have no symptoms. You should watch out for symptoms of COVID-19 and take care to protect others.
