Examiner's Office

Information

The Examiner supervises the liquidation of companies.

The Examiner's office

  1. deals with accounts and inquiries,
  2. settles lists of creditors,
  3. arranges sales of properties,
  4. countersigns all payments and investments,
  5. processes applications for the court,
  6. acts as Registrar to the court assigned to deal with matters proceeding before the Examiner (the "Examiner's List"),
  7. processes applications for bankruptcy,
  8. acts as Registrar to the court assigned to deal with bankruptcy proceedings (the "Bankruptcy List").

The Courts Service provides information on bankruptcy, on administration suits and on mortgage suits on its website. It has also published two booklets entitled Bankruptcy and the Examiner's Office (pdf) and Mortgage Suits and the Examiner's Office (pdf).
