Types of post-primary school
There are five different types of post-primary school in Ireland. The main difference is in how your school is managed, how it is funded and who owns your school.
Junior Cycle
The Junior Cycle consists of the first three years of second-level education for students aged 12 to 15 years in Ireland.
Transition Year
